Over the past period, a great deal of detail has been revealed about Final Fantasy 16, including its gameplay. We've also learned about its difficulty settings, and a demo version will soon be available two weeks before its official release. But one interesting detail that hasn't been revealed yet is the game's engine.

I didn't do it reveal Square Enix, the developer of the upcoming Final Fantasy 16 game, has revealed the engine used in its development yet. From their perspective, this information is technical, and the main focus is on the gameplay that matters to the player, but unexpectedly, the game is not developed using Unreal Engine 5 or the studio's internal Luminous engine.

Through a new video via the Skill Up channel, which spoke with the development team about the engine used in the game's development process. Square Enix revealed that it is not using the Luminous Engine or even the Unreal Engine, and unfortunately the company did not reveal the nature of the engine it uses in the development of the expected game, but we can only wait for the game to be released in order to know more details about the engine used.

In previous news, we learned about the game's cinematic count, which will be approximately 11 hours long. Game producer Yoshida has previously stated his opinion on JRPGs, saying that they offend and negatively affect Japanese developers as two-word elements that describe their games and distinguish them from regular RPGs.

Final Fantasy 16 officially arrives on PS5 on June 22, exclusively and safely.
