With Atomic Heart set to go live in just over a week, we've recently seen some gameplay footage. Each demo of this open-world Mundfish felt like a massive tech showcase. It's one of those games that always gets a lot of technical questions. New details specific to current-generation platforms have already emerged.
In an interview with Wccftech, Mundfish founder and Atomic Heart director Robert Bagratoni confirmed that the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions of the title will not support ray tracing at launch. This means support will be available in a post-launch update, but we don't know when.
Meanwhile, Robert Bagratani also confirmed that Atomic Heart will only have one graphics mode on current-gen platforms, and the game will run at dynamic 4K resolution and 60 frames per second, which is sometimes a good thing. We'll see native 4K resolution. Meanwhile, the Xbox Series S version will run at 1080p at 60 frames per second.
There are no details yet about the game's target resolution and frame rate on PS4 and Xbox One, but Robert Bagratoni previously stated that players can expect "incredible" performance on previous-generation platforms. The game will be released on February 21 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
