Warner Bros. has once again teased Hogwarts Legacy 2, this time via its CFO. It was also mentioned that there is additional DLC content coming to the current installment of the game, as it was said that the game has just started expanding into the Wizarding World.

Warner Bros. CFO Gunnar Wiedenfels joined us as a speaker at the Morgan Stanley Investors Conference. Publisher Warner Bros. sees a lot of opportunity in future Harry Potter games, which is a clear indication that we could see Hogwarts Legacy 2 as Avalanche Software’s next project.

Wiedenfels spoke to The Variety team in an interview where he confirmed that there are big plans for Wizards' title. And that the topic didn't stop with the release of the main game, but will extend to include the release of additional content, to then complete the story and move on:

Take Harry Potter as an example from the Wizarding World. The fact that we are enjoying such success with the release of 'Hogwarts Legacy', 12 years after the release of the last film, shows that there are many opportunities and we are only just beginning to expand them.”.

The company's president, David Haddad, previously stated that the developer was "very happy with the initial launch" of the game and that he saw a bright future for the game's release on previous platforms. Unfortunately, Avalanche Software has confirmed that the PS4 version of the game has been delayed once again. The release date is now May 5, 2023.

The developer will likely focus all of its efforts on the next-gen version of the game in the coming days, albeit delayed, before starting any major work on a sequel or any DLC.
