Here's what the PS5 boot screen looked like before it was changed.

With the PS5 entering its third year, we wanted to share with you some of its most memorable features from its early years. For example, the home screen when you first launch it, which has now changed after its update and is less exciting than before.

Many of us often ignore the boot screens on our home consoles. This can be due, for example, to the delay in turning on the TV or even installing the HDMI cable, or, for example, the rush to get into the gaming mood. So now is the perfect opportunity to show you, perhaps for the first time, the PS5's operating screen, as it was when it was first released.

The current device's operating screen is consistent with a black and gray background color. But what most gamers don't know is that the screen didn't look like this when the device was initially released. As you'll notice below, the previous playback screen contained the current screen's melody, as well as another melody. And not only that, but before the color quickly faded to gray or black, it was preceded by blue colors that look exactly like the device's promotional video.

One thing we remember from watching the video is definitely the dynamic themes. Sony keeps promising to bring this beloved feature back to the previous generation, but we haven't seen anything yet.

Players have made numerous appeals demanding the return of these themes, but Sony hasn't responded. We also expected this to be a surprise in today's system update (details here), but that didn't happen. Speaking of updates, details of a new upcoming update have leaked, which you can see here.

Of course, for those who don't know, the home screen we're talking about, or the operational screen, is the screen that precedes what you see in the image above. So, what do you think of the device's home screen in its first year compared to the current screen? Share with us in the comments section below.
