It's only been a few weeks since the massive GTA 6 leaks, and now a source confirms that some of the GTA 5 source code has leaked online. What is the source code?
According to the Arageek platform, source code is a set of instructions that a programmer writes using computer programming languages. the work.
This means that GTA 5, as well as GTA Online, could become a new victim and its development tools could be compromised. That’s not all, the developer notes and significant parts of the anti-cheat system will also be leaked. As such, GTA Online will be full of cheaters and will become an unsafe environment to play in.
The new report, which was shared by author John Papadopoulos via GitHub, links this leak to the massive hack that the GTA 6 game project, which is still in development, was exposed to, as dozens of videos were leaked in addition to the hacker also managing to obtain the source code for the GTA 5 game.
The source code is available for download via GitHub. This will not benefit many of us as gamers, and if we are able to handle, use or manipulate such code.. it could expose us to a lot of legal trouble.
More about GTA 5
One of the possible reasons behind the game’s decline in sales. GTA 6 was announced earlier this year. Where a group of fans of the game prepare to take a break from roaming the city of Los Santos. This is to prepare themselves psychologically and mentally for a new adventure in Vice City, Miami.
This should not be a reason to discourage players, or those who want to play for the first time. Because it is possible that the sales of the game will improve due to the possible long time for the release of GTA 6. And this despite the fact that this possibility is rather weak.
The recent GTA 6 leaks haven't shaken the publisher's confidence in moving forward with the game's development and not delaying it. Take-Two's CEO called the leaks "terribly disappointing." But he has since come back and confirmed that it won't affect the development process or the release date, which appears to already be set in stone.
Regardless, sales of the fifth installment in the series and GTA Online have reached nearly 175 million copies so far, as of Q2. The entire series, released across all devices, has now sold over 385 million copies.
Looking at these astronomical numbers in this game reminds me of the well-known economic term “compound interest”, which is interest that is calculated cumulatively so that its value increases over the years.
