The gaming industry thrives on taking players to fantasy and historical worlds. So the abstract nature of the experience means seeing things and places we obviously wouldn’t be able to see in real life. That’s what Project Ferocious offers.
Games featuring primitive creatures like dinosaurs were as popular a few generations ago as Ark. Although that popularity has certainly waned in recent years. However, some developers are still trying to create interesting games based on these creatures and Project Ferocious will definitely impress you.
The action-adventure game is currently in development at a small studio called OMYOG. Being their first title, and while they’re definitely a very small team when compared to AAA standards, the game certainly impressed us with its scope, mechanics, and overall level of polish in everything it tries to do.
Project Virusius is set against the backdrop of a secret island filled with all sorts of horrors, from monsters to dinosaurs and more. As you can see, we take on the role of a nameless mercenary assigned to investigate a distress call from someone in the desert. But the thing is, there shouldn't be any civilization at the point where the signal originates, and of course we find ourselves in this magical place.
Who sent out this distress signal in the first place and what secrets these lands hold are the first questions that come to mind when considering this narrative premise. And it seems pretty clear that the story will tend to answer it and build a coherent narrative around it. Of course, this is not something we haven't seen in games like this, but OMYOG should definitely try to create something that can keep the player interested for the vast majority of the story's runtime.
The game will also offer a variety of enemies, especially dinosaurs and their various types, as well as primitive people designed in an amazing way.
There's no release date yet, but what do you think of the idea of the game as a whole?
