It didn't take long for Sony to release a new update specifically for the PS5 platform, and today Sony has released an update to provide major improvements to the console and the user experience in general, but the update has only been released in a test version and not in full.
Releasing the update in beta form means that the features may not all be present or work as desired, but in any case, if you receive any message in your email informing you that the update is available, then you have been chosen to try this update because it is not yet available to all PS5 owners. Let's see what features are in the update.
DualSense microphone and headset improvements
- The console's speakers will have a volume boost, meaning they will produce louder, clearer sound than before.
- Improved noise isolation feature, because thanks to new improvements in machine learning technology and artificial intelligence in the microphone, noise will now be isolated more accurately.
- You can control the volume of the speakers on the DualSense because the volume is quite loud.
Photo sharing experience improvements and power saving on PS5
- If you like to share a lot of photos with friends through the platform, you can now add emojis and some tags to help you convey a message or even put a photo in a funny way.
- The feature will be available by default when the update is released, meaning that players will have to disable it if they don't benefit from it or like it one way or another.
- As for power saving, you can control the brightness of content displayed across the platform by going to Settings > System > Light > Brightness.
The update is available in beta starting today, if you’re lucky enough to get it. Either way, these are important features that will go a long way toward improving the PS5 user experience. Tell us about the feature you’re most looking forward to, dear reader.
