Along with issuing a new update for the PlayStation 5 operating system today, Thursday, Sony has also released a new update for the PlayStation 4.
The new update number 10.70 has a size of approx. 493 MB It is now available for download for all different versions of the device and in all countries around the world. Please note that this update is mandatory, so you will have to download and install it if you plan to play online with friends.
The new PlayStation 4 update won't bring much with it, and according to what has been officially revealed, this update will work on “Improve system performance.” No more.
It is worth mentioning that Sony had released update 10.50 earlier this year, which brought with it several improvements to the system, which were as follows.
PlayStation 4 update 10.50
- You can now access your authorized apps in (Settings).
- Authorized applications are third-party applications and services that you have linked your PlayStation Network account to.
- When you use an authorized app, you grant permission to share your account data with that app.
- To view and manage authorized apps, go to (Settings) > (Account Management) > (Approved Apps) and scan the QR code with your mobile device.
- Friends who are active on your PlayStation Online app will now appear in your friends list.
- Unicode 15.0 emoji can now be displayed.
- You can see which players in your game session are on other gaming platforms that support this feature.
The new update, we believe, improves the security system beyond full alignment with the PlayStation system, which Sony seeks to make a unified environment between all systems and the PSN network.
Earlier today, the PlayStation 5 also received a new update, and as is the case with the PlayStation 4 update, this new update no longer improves system performance. You can see the in-depth details via the following link.
