In an updated article from a source, the upcoming mobile game Assassin's Creed Jade has likely been delayed due to major changes at Tencent, with Ubisoft yet to comment on the matter.

Reuters' anonymous sources claim that Tencent has reassigned hundreds of people from the Jade development team to other studio teams. Instead, the developers are now working on a new mobile game called DreamStar, with the mobile version of the Assassin's Creed game slated for release in 2025 instead of this year.

Ubisoft has not responded to Assassin's Creed Jade delay allegations.

Ubisoft has yet to confirm Jade's actual release date, but many expected it to launch in 2024. At the same time, Ubisoft has not officially confirmed the game's delay and has yet to respond to Reuters' report.

Assassin's Creed Jade is a mobile adventure set in ancient China. A variety of gameplay leaked online in 2023, including over two hours of footage.

Surprisingly, fans also got access to the Jade beta in 2022. Players had the opportunity to check out the full beta of the game on their mobile devices.

However, this was only a beta, and the game will definitely change and improve before its full release. Currently, fans of the series are eagerly awaiting Assassin's Creed Red, set in feudal Japan and offering players the ability to control two male and one female character. More details on that here.
