The industry always has some unique moments that can sometimes be awkward, but it's often cute that a college player can play Valorant Competing with his team and winning a BO3 match while recovering and in his hospital bed, esports fans and even developer Riot Games praised the player for his dedication.

The dedication is no stranger to competitive tournaments. Earlier this year, developer Riot Games announced that it would host the CVAL, a college-level season from 2022 to 2023. It’s open to teams from accredited colleges and universities in the U.S. and Canada. Three tournaments will be held in the fall, winter, and spring, with the winning team crowned the College Valorant Championship, which will be held next year in Los Angeles.

One of the competing teams is Old Dominion University ODU Varsity Esports, which loyal Valorant player Nishil Shah is affiliated with.Sosliver8', was taken to the emergency room with pancreatitis before his team's scheduled game against West Virginia in the CVAL season.

A rescheduling was requested, but West Virginia University refused, forcing “Sosliver8” to play from his hospital bed. All he has is a gaming laptop, computer case, and a few accessories, of course. Plus, he tweeted that he had to play at 60fps. Barely, but in the end, the ODU Varsity Esports team ended up winning 2-0 in the BO3 Championship.
