“Karim Atouni,” one of the founders of the Media Molecule studio that developed the game Dreams, has announced his departure from the team in early 2023. Karim did not reveal the reason, but will appear in a live broadcast to talk about his next destination.

Media Molecule Studio is known for developing beloved and exclusive titles for the PlayStation platform, one of which is Little Big Planet. But the studio's most important project recently was Dreams, which is an educational platform game for gamers and amateur developers.

Karim is one of the founders of the studio, and its artistic director, and has worked on the titles we mentioned and before as well. Unfortunately, Karim has announced his departure from the studio early next year, as stated in the studio's statement, mentioned via Twitter next:

Karim Atouni, co-founder and CTO of Media Molecule, has decided to leave the team. Since day one, Karim has been instrumental in defining the look and feel and is without a doubt the spirit of “who we are” and what we do at Media Molecule.

We are forever grateful for everything he has done for us and our community. He will be leaving us in early 2023.

Karim will appear on a live broadcast with the studio members on January 17th. Where he is scheduled to talk about his achievements and his next destination, and may also reveal the reason that led him to leave the studio after all this time and achievements.

It's good to know that there is a developer of Arab origin working at one of Sony's best and most famous studios. Speaking of the studio, they still care and support Dreams to this day and are always trying to fix its problems.

On the other hand, it has not been revealed that there is any new project that the studio is working on, mainly because the mentioned project was already released almost 3 years ago. Stay with us if you find anything new.
