We're just a few hours away from seeing the first official trailer for the highly anticipated sci-fi shooter STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl, although the developer and players have received some very sad news recently.
Volodymyr Yezhov, one of the main developers of the Ukrainian studio GSC Game World, has died while fighting in the war in Ukraine. The official Ukrainian Defense Ministry and the developer announced the following on Twitter:
Matt Volodymyr Yezhov, one of the developers [STALKER 2] In a battle near Bakhmut, defending Ukraine from Russian invaders. Volodymyr was the father of two sons. Eternal glory to the hero!
While the developer's official account, through the STALKER game account, responded to the Ministry of Defense's post, expressing its full respect for the deceased member of its team and condolences to the family and said:
Volodymyr Yezhov died during action in the Ukrainian War, and the GSC Game World team pays their respects.
Volodymyr gave us so many games, so many universes… Players will always remember him. Thank you Volodymyr. Our condolences to the family. Ukraine has lost another hero. It doesn't work.
In any case, the game's developer, GSC Game World Studio, has shared with us its intention to review STALKER 2 today at 10 PM KSA. As of yet, there is no information available about the nature of the offer that the developer will share with players tomorrow, but it does, in one way or another, refer to a gameplay overhaul that we have been waiting for.
