Spider-Man 2 is still out of sight, both in terms of new trailers and official news from its developers. But one of the players managed to discover a subtle detail in the only screen that indicates the location of the events of the next part.
A Reddit user from the community discovered a clue as to where Spider-Man 2 might take place by rewatching the game's only trailer more than once. What the player found made a lot of sense. The player found the number 718 drawn on one of the walls, and upon further investigation, it was discovered that this symbol refers to the Brooklyns area, the Queens area, and finally, Staten Island.
This information could be true for several reasons. First, Queens is the birthplace of Peter Parker, “the first Spider-Man.” Brooklyn is where the events of the Miles Morales game take place, and the island is completely new.
There is no response or comment from the game's developers at Insomniac Games, nor is there any possibility that it will be present at the upcoming gaming party. However, the team has confirmed on more than one occasion that the game is coming next year 2023, despite the scarcity of news on the subject.
Previously, actor Tony Todd shared more details about his character in the game, Venom. During a recent podcast episode, the actor said that everything we've seen in the past and the epic battles are nothing compared to what we'll see in the upcoming sequel.
Todd also praised the team at Insomniac Games for their efforts. He further said that the storyline for the upcoming installment is the coolest thing he has ever read. When asked about the Venom character he plays, he said that he is a character who doesn't care about anything. And he is the toughest spider-like enemy so far.
