The Division Heartland game has not had any release date as of yet, but today the game has officially received an age rating from the ESRB, which may give us an idea and insight into the extent of violence in the game.

The Division Heartland game is rated M (17+) due to the presence of violence and blood in the game, as well as some profanity in both the gameplay itself and in the cinematics. In the rating there are some things like killing people at close range and a scene of the Russian roulette game .. as the battles look intense.

In addition to scenes of violence and battles, The Division Heartland will support in-game purchases, and according to the ESRB, these purchases will not contain random items such as loot chests or any wheel of fortune.

Free-to-play Heartland introduces new playable characters set in a rural setting, far from the action in New York City and Washington, D.C. Once a charming town in the American Midwest, Silver Creek was devastated by the Dollar Flu. Players take on the role of loyal Division agents from across the country who respond to the call for help. Players fight alongside and against other trained agents, explore the secrets of Silver Creek, and bring hope to what remains of small-town America.

Led by Red Storm, the veteran team that has worked on the series since the first game, the team uses a test-and-learn approach to game development, constantly testing with the community to gather and apply insights before moving on to the next phase.
