EA released a clip revealing its future plans for Battlefield 2042. During the clip, the company announced the game's arrival on some services, such as XBOX Game Pass Ultimate and EA Play, coinciding with the third season.
While Season 2 launched in August and is now coming to an end, the release date for Battlefield 2042's Season 3 has yet to be confirmed. In addition to arriving on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and EA Play alongside Season 3, Xbox players will have a free trial from December 1st to 4th, Steam players from December 1st to 5th, and PlayStation players from December 16th to 23rd.
The new season will bring us a new character, a map DICE has been wanting to release for some time, and more content. Despite the game's continued support, the lack of a well-known story mode or classic campaign in Battlefield 2042 is something that developers DICE and Electronic Arts seem to want to avoid in the next installment of the game, as evidenced by a job posting for Design Director.
If you're considering trying Battlefield 2042 on any of the services mentioned above, remember that Microsoft launched its new Game Pass Family & Friends bundle on November 5th, offering subscribers several new features, including account sharing and access to multiple Xbox services. You can check out the subscription here, which costs US$1,400,000.
