Ubisoft has released a new update for Assassin's Creed Syndicate, which has been out since 2015. Released for the PS4 version of the game, the update aims to fix issues when running the game through the pre-compatibility feature on the PS5 platform.
Update 1.53 doesn't add any kind of new content whatsoever. It was an interesting move by Ubisoft to make one of their older games more accessible and easier to play on the PS5 platform.
We are pleased to announce that Assassin's Creed Syndicate will receive an update tomorrow, February 23, on PlayStation 4.

The lag and stuttering issues fixed by the update have made Assassin's Creed Syndicate nearly unplayable on PS5. The issue has since become exclusive to the PlayStation platform, as none of these issues have been reported on the Xbox version of the game.
Ubisoft is currently working on a number of upcoming Assassin's Creed games, with Assassin's Creed Mirage set to release this year, and Assassin's Creed Codename RED and Assassin's Creed Codename HEXE coming in the future. The company is still supporting Assassin's Creed Valhalla with minor updates that fix issues.
Ubisoft is expected to be present at E3 2023, where the company will undoubtedly showcase its upcoming titles, with a special mention for the game Mirage, about which we have known little since the first cinematic reveal. I hope to see the first gameplay demonstration during E3. Tell us your thoughts and expectations for the upcoming E3 in general.
