Sonic Frontiers has sold over 3 million copies since its release

Sega has announced that Sonic Frontiers has sold over 3 million copies since its release. Its last milestone was 2.9 million copies on February 10, 2023. The game appears to have exceeded Sega's expectations so far.
Sonic Frontiers was released on November 8, 2022, and has received a lot of praise from everyone. Speaking to investors about last quarter's earnings, when the publisher was asked about the sales and pricing strategy behind Sonic Frontiers. it even exceeded their expectations. .
Sega has officially announced that the first free update for Sonic Frontiers will be released on March 22, which is today. It features new challenge modes along with Jukebox mode and the much-awaited Photo Shoot mode. Once you choose this mode, the game will pause until you take photos. The mode features different camera angles with options to adjust the size, camera speed, and more. In Jukebox mode, you can play music clips as you cruise through the Starfall Islands, where around 40 music clips are available.
Interestingly, Sega also said that it expects “higher” development costs for future games, due to higher development labor costs. As for what the future holds for the Sonic series in the short term, the game should be getting a lot of additional content in the coming months, according to the director’s words.
