Studio 17ZHE and publisher Papergames have announced their new multiplatform project, Project The Perceiver. The game will be an open-world action game, and we'll learn more about it below.

According to early advertising, Project The Perceiver will explore a clash of beliefs in a fantasy world filled with chaos. You’ll meet a variety of characters, including the masters of Varietas. Convinced that you’re the only way out of the “endless quagmire of war,” you’ll be able to “observe all sides” and engage in fierce battles.

The game is set during the Tianhu period of the Xuantang Dynasty, when a strange entity was discovered in the countryside. The attributes of this entity were its strange color, and its shape was impossible to describe. In order to banish people's fear, you will have to start dissuading this entity.

Furthermore, the gameplay of the game seems to be very similar to the Nioh games and other well-known Chinese titles. Unfortunately, the release date of this title has not been announced, but now we know that next year will be the year of games set in the Asian era.

The game is set to launch on current and next-gen platforms, as well as PC. The publisher has also promised to reveal more information later this year.
