New information indicates that Return To Silent Hill will be based on the story of the second part of the game series.

Please note that there may beburn) to bring the story of the second part of the game, especially since the remake is already in development and will reach us in the near future.

The German website Film Portal managed to obtain, according to him, some information related to the film Return To Silent Hill, which he published on the internet.

While the film is expected to be a reimagining and have nothing to do with Silent Hill or Silent Hill Revelation, new leaks have indicated that the film will be based on the story and events of Silent Hill 2, which is a favorite installment of many fans of the series, but it appears there will be some changes made according to these new leaks.

The following was mentioned in the leaked film story:

Driven by the shadows of his past, James Sunderland returns to Silent Hill to find his lost love, Mary Crane. But the dark, oppressive small town is no longer a place from his memories. He meets characters who seem familiar and try to dissuade him from his search for Mary. The more he searches for Mary, the more he begins to wonder if this is still reality—or if he has fallen into Jacob Crane's dark underworld…

In Silent Hill 2, James Sunderland has already arrived in the misty town, where he receives a message from his late wife Mary that prompts him to head there. Interestingly, "Jacob Crane" wasn't present in all of the game's parts, so it appears he's a new character created for the film.

The leaked synopsis also indicates that Mary isn't James' wife in Return To Silent Hill, so this is clearly another interesting change to the story, but the basic plot of events seems to stick to the video game.

It will feature James, Mary, and the town of Silent Hill, as well as some of the monsters featured in the game and other well-known characters like Angela, Eddie, Laura, and others. There's still a chance for a strong movie based on one of the best survival horror games.
