Ubisoft has not provided any new details about the Assassin's Creed Red project, which is one of the upcoming titles in the Assassin's Creed series. Despite rumors of development issues last December, the title appears to be in good shape and will feature two playable heroes.
According to famous leaker “Tom Henderson” There is new information about the project that we knew little about and from leaks, the report reveals that the characters we will play are samurai and shinobi fighters. So, what would it be like to play as a samurai with an Assassin, especially since samurai usually promote honor when facing enemies?
We don't know exactly what the French developer will do about it, but given the RPG elements present in the game, it seems that we won't be hiding as much as we did in Origins and Ragnarok. As for the authenticity of the leak, it is expected to be true, as in the teaser we saw a samurai jumping with his sword, and it is clear that it is a woman.
The shinobi is rumored to be an African refugee who took up Assassin's Creed, which fits in well with the project's focus on stealth. Developer Ubisoft Quebec seems to be going for a Hitman or Splinter Cell style of gameplay. And since the samurai isn't expected to be as stealthy as the shinobi, the gameplay will be balanced.
While the game is targeting a fall 2024 release date, it could be some time before the title is revealed. Insider Gaming reports that Ubisoft is focused on first showing off gameplay from Assassin's Creed Mirage and then officially revealing Assassin's Creed Nexus, a title for VR headsets.
