During this time, many leaks and rumors about the game have surfaced. And now there's a new rumor discussing the location of the next installment in the series, along with a few other details.

According to an insider, who shared a wealth of information about Far Cry 7 with us, including the official name (as rumored), the location of its events, and the nature of the enemies. There's also information about multiplayer.

Rumor has it that the next installment will take place in Korea and its surrounding suburbs and borders on the Yellow Sea. Specifically, the events will take place on an island located in the sea and captured by North Korean forces. Here are the remaining details...

Far Cry 7 details

  • The new part will be called Far Cry Rise instead of numbering.
  • The events will take place on a fictional island in the Yellow Sea adjacent to North and South Korea.
  • The island is called Krimsan.
  • The game's main enemy is Choi Sang-Pil, a North Korean general who takes over the island and enslaves its inhabitants after lying to them about improving their lives and providing them with safety.
  • The player will choose to play as one of two characters, a man named Andrew or a woman named Mina Park.
  • The characters the player will have to choose will be fighters and will learn to survive.
  • You can play through the story alone or team up with up to three other players.
