Rumor: Suicide Squad could be released next year

Following fan reaction to the latest gameplay demo at the State of Play event, we've heard rumors that Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has been delayed again.
Bloomberg's Jason Schreyer was the source of some of the rumors that the title was initially delayed. But Jez Corden, who works as an editor at Windows Central, has heard from his own sources that it will be released in the fourth quarter of 2023. Jeff Grob, who works at Giant Bomb, has heard it could be released in 2024.
This time, Schreyer shared something new with us on Twitter, noting that there has been no official announcement of the delay, "perhaps because there is no new date yet." Employees were reportedly told several weeks ago that it would be released this year, "but they still don't know when. The title could be delayed until 2024." According to Schreyer, one thing seems certain: the base game will not change.
It seems the time needed for the title to become suitable is only for refinement, and nothing more, according to rumors, if the developer truly intends to release it this year. A release in a year or more indicates the studio's response to feedback, changing the game's overall vision and moving away from live service elements, but it's clear the studio won't do that because its project, which it announced years ago, is almost ready, so it's illogical. The developers have a new task: to ground the game in its roots.
Rocksteady hasn't yet announced the delay for Suicide Squad, perhaps because there's no new release date yet. The team was told a few weeks ago that it would arrive later this year, but they still don't know when. It could possibly fall into 2024, but one thing seems certain: the main game isn't changing.
