Ubisoft has a group of AC series titles currently in development on various platforms, one of them is Assassin's Creed Codename Red, and according to a new rumor, the game will have the same system as Assassin's Creed Origins.
Assassin's Creed Origins changes the system of the series. Where players had to increase the character's strength, weapons, armor and costumes, and it was difficult to face an enemy with strength greater than the character's strength and equipment, and this system will be present in the game Assassin's Creed Codename Red, according to the latest rumors.
A Resetera community member said that Codename Red will be the last game to use the AC Origins gameplay system, which was not a favorite among many players and caused a lot of controversy among the series' fan community. Therefore, Bobby Soft has chosen to go back to the roots with its next game, Assassin's Creed Mirage, where the game will be similar to the first parts of the series, and an enemy greater than you in strength will not be able to kill you.
In a LinkedIn post earlier this year, Ubisoft's executive director of business development Arisa Lagunzad said the company was looking for a Japanese partner to work on the "biggest megaproject in 2024."
Posted by Access the animusIt appears to have been edited to remove the 2024 date, but LinkedIn's translation of the original Japanese text still reads: "We are looking for a sponsor partner for this AC Codename RED title for next year."
If the game has the Origins game system, that's fine. Because it has a large open world that forces the player to explore it, and therefore the player is also free to upgrade his character and equipment, and that's what we'll see in Codename Red as the last parts that will work with this system in an era other than the Egyptian one, which is Japanese.
As we mentioned, the company is now limited to launching the game AC Mirage, which will take us back to its roots, on October 17 of this year on PS5, Xbox Series and PC.
