Over the past year, we have seen major releases from Capcom, including the Resident Evil 4 Remake game, which rose to prominence as one of the best games of the year during 2023 with its official nomination at last year's awards ceremony, and because of these successes, Capcom officially announces the gold edition of the game.
Capcom has announced the release of Resident Evil 4 Gold Edition with a February 9 release date for PS5, Xbox Series
The Gold Edition includes the base game and the Separate Ways add-on with additional accessory outfits. The edition also comes with two deluxe weapons, the option to switch to the original game’s soundtrack, and an in-game map to locate all of the base game’s treasures. The edition also includes additional content such as The Mercenaries, and all PS5 players can also download the VR mode for PlayStation VR2.
Capcom had already announced that it plans to bring more remake versions of its beloved games to players, and this has left many excited to see Resident Evil Code Veronica in the future with an improved version or even Dino Crisis with an improved version.
Remake Part 2 remains the best-selling installment in the series, with total sales reaching over 26 million copies sold. As for the Part 4 remake, Capcom has said that it will continue to deliver it to as many audiences as possible, and that could mean the possibility of releasing it on other platforms, perhaps as it did with the iPhone 15 version and the gold version that is set to release next month.
Do you think the decision to release a gold version of Remake Part 4 is a good idea overall?
