Revealing the release date of the first additional expansion for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth

Today, Square Enix officially revealed the first paid expansion for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, called The Rising Tide, and below we'll share all the details, including content and price.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth has achieved incredible success since its release last February until this moment, and although less than a month has passed since the game's release, Square Enix, its publisher, has announced its first additional content titled The Rising Tide.

The Rising Tide content will be officially released on April 16th, and the price of the addition will be approximately US$$ 20. The details of the expansion will be as follows:

  • It will introduce a new story to the Eikon of Water region.
  • There will be new skills for the characters.
  • The character's level can be increased from 50 to 60, and then through New Game Plus mode, the level can be increased to over 100.
  • It will feature a group of new weapons, some of which are returning weapons from previous installments.
  • Many other contents and surprises.

In addition to revealing the expansion's details, the company also revealed the release of a new game-wide update that will provide sought-after benefits for players. The update will be called Quality of Life and will contain the following:

  • A new quick feature allows you to quickly return to new quest givers.
  • Major update to character side quests.
  • A new skill feature that allows the player to retain five skills and abilities.
  • New customization features.
  • New features for the game's Photo Mode.
  • The update will be released as update 1.30, which is free and will not require players to purchase the expansion to obtain its features. It will be released on April 18th, coinciding with the release of the aforementioned expansion.
