Resident Evil 4 Remake launched globally today across all home platforms, as the game became the biggest launch in the series ever on Steam thanks to player anticipation.
To date, Resident Evil 4 Remake has reached approximately 127,000 concurrent players on Steam. This is the highest number of any game in the series released on the same platform.
According to SteamDB statistics, the remake has a similar number of players. Resident Evil Village, for example, had nearly 107,000 players when it launched on the same platform. Remake, the second installment, garnered 75,000 players, while the third installment garnered 60,000.
On the other hand, this year is the best for horror games in general. Dead Space Remake garnered nearly 30,000 concurrent players across the platform, and Hogwarts Legacy still holds the best number this year, as it managed to garner 879,000 concurrent players on Steam.
