Last year, publisher Krafton revealed a special project with an open-world PvE style, and according to some sources, this game will be far from similar to Destiny 2 or Outriders. During the earnings report, the company reveals a project codenamed Black Budget.

According to publisher Krafton's disclosure in its earnings report, it is currently working on a new shooter similar to Escape From Tarkov and Warzone 2 DMZ that is being developed by PUBG Studios and it seems to be a very ambitious project.

The publisher said the project has an open world designed for PvPvE mode that will be constantly changing and “offer exciting and unpredictable experiences.” In terms of which platforms to release on, publisher Krafton said it is considering PCs, home consoles, and phones.

Project Black Budget is still codenamed and we're aiming to release it in 2024 or 2025, so we'll have two games in 2024 and four in 2025. We know one of them is Project Gold Rush, which might be closer to Fortnite than PUBG, while one of the other games will be a new Subnautica game.

New State and PUBG Mobile are hits for publisher Krafton, but at the end of last year it released The Callisto Protocol. In fact, the title did not live up to expectations, because the publisher intended to sell five million copies of the game... but it has only sold two million copies so far.
