Over the past few months, Starbreeze has been sharing more details about its upcoming game, Payday 3, with clips showing the game's development diary. Last week, the developer revealed to us the reasons for releasing the game only for current-gen devices, and here is the developer introducing us to the game's difficulty levels.

The studio shared with us the latest development diary of the Payday 3 game, and confirmed through it that the game will contain 4 difficulty levels at launch, being them normal, then difficult, then very difficult and, finally, there is Overkill, which will test the capabilities of the players to the maximum and will present a great challenge, especially since the enemies will be more brutal.

Enemies and their health will not change between the four levels, instead their numbers, accuracy, and damage will be adjusted. The developer has stated that the idea behind these levels is to encourage people to play with each other, and that they want to prevent players from getting bored and playing on an easier difficulty level.

The game will introduce several new elements in the form of developments, one of which is a greater focus on stealth and some gang members can even sneak around without a mask, which creates multiple play styles during the heist.

Furthermore, once the gang is discovered and close to being captured, any member of the gang can hold any member of the bank hostage against the police. Unreal Engine 4 has helped the game a lot with the presence of these mechanics, but the developer has promised us during the last month that the engine update is coming, but after the game's release, no specific time frame for the update's release has been specified, and this update in question will improve the game's visuals with the engine's wonderful lighting features, mainly the Lumen system.

Payday 3 is officially coming to current-gen devices and PC on September 21, and will be available at launch from day one for Xbox Game Pass subscribers.
