Someone discovered through an online store the existence of an Xbox game that had a different cover design than what we are used to, which suggests that Microsoft may have made the decision to change the covers of Xbox games.
The Limited Run Game website accompanied the game Clock Tower Rewind with an image that we see for the first time of an Xbox cover, where a new design appeared, different from the usual and from what is common in the cover design of other console games.
Also today, the Ember Lab team announced the arrival of the game Kena: Bridge of Spirits for Xbox devices in August, and when searching for it in the same store mentioned, we discovered that it features the new cover design as you can see below.
We don't know if this design is intended only for the aforementioned website or if it is actually a new design for the company's game covers, but VGC contacted the company to confirm this news.
Microsoft will host the Xbox Showcase event, during which we will see many announcements, and perhaps there we will get a look at the work on the new cover for Xbox games, as we see above the image of the cover of the upcoming game Kena with the new design.
The old game covers featured the Xbox logo in the upper right corner, with a solid green line below the logo. The new cover design features the logo in the upper left corner, with the green line toned down, now running alongside the logo rather than below it.
What do you think of the new cover design if the website's claims about the design change are true?
