It looks like Suicide Squad will bring back the villain Riddler

More than two years of anticipation for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is enough to keep an entire community waiting for it, even though it didn't quite deliver as it should have in its final presentation during yesterday's State of Play episode. Many thought it was a good payoff for DC fans, rather than a new Batman Arkham game.

The gameplay didn't live up to expectations, but that didn't stop DC fans from idly burying their heads in the sand to learn as much detail as possible and get a better understanding of the game. Fortunately, someone seems to have figured it out: the Riddler is back.

This was discovered on Twitter by someone named NicholasJLevi, and indeed, during the game's demo, a green circle can be seen on the ground with a Riddler question mark in the middle. The plate glows green on the screen, but in a somewhat dimmed state, which makes it seem like it has a story behind it that we'll discover during the game. While it doesn't resemble the Riddler Cup from the Arkham games, it's clearly more about the character and seems to indicate he's returning in some form.

Interestingly, the Riddler wasn't mentioned in yesterday's gameplay trailer, or in any other trailer, even when Rocksteady introduced the Suicide Squad sidekicks, where we saw the Penguin. It seems the developer is being conservative and doesn't want to reveal him at the moment, and it's also likely that only his puzzles exist without us seeing him in person, and we'll see him in future content or something similar.

This is all just speculation; we'll learn the same truth on May 26, 2023, on the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S platforms, alongside PC. Tell us your expectations for the game in the comments section below, and does it deserve all the criticism?
