Officially… Monster Hunter Rise is coming to PlayStation and Xbox

So, after the leaks and rumors came the certainty, Monster Hunter Rise is coming to PlayStation and Xbox. Also subscribers of the Xbox Game Pass service, the game will be available to them from the first day of its arrival on domestic platforms.

Capcom confirmed in a special statement that the game will launch today on current and last-gen home platforms. January 20th Starting next year 2023.

Additionally, this does not rule out additional Sunbreak content coming to all of the aforementioned platforms in spring next year.

It is worth mentioning that the Monster Hunter Rise game was temporarily released exclusively on Nintendo Switch devices in March last year, 2021. This was followed by the release of the PC version, which was made available in January this year, 2022.

The game will have 4K resolution with 60 frames/s performance on next-gen devices, and will also support 3D sound on PlayStation 5. However, it appears that it will not take advantage of other technical features provided by the platform, such as sensory and haptic effects.

One of the most exciting moments for the game was when it launched on the Nintendo Switch. The CEO of a Japanese tech company announced that he would be giving his employees a day off so they could try out Monster Hunter Rise, as Japan is the game's home in terms of popularity and sales numbers there.

The strange and funny thing at the same time is that the company manager admitted that the company received a lot of calls from its employees about requesting leave on March 26th. Due to the huge popularity of the game in Japan, it was natural for employees to request a day off. So since the employees were planning to take the day off anyway, Hiyama decided to make the 26th a holiday.
