Xbox has begun releasing statements and information that delve deeper into its acquisition of Activision. Most recently, the company said that if the deal were completed and the Call of Duty title became its own, it would stop exclusive content from the series on other devices.

Xbox continues to do everything it can to convince regulators, rival platforms, and perhaps the most prominent Call of Duty players that it will be okay if it acquires Activision Blizzard. Though most of that has revolved around trying to convince PlayStation and Sony that it won't make the series exclusive to its platform.

a statement Phil Spencer If the deal goes through, additional series-exclusive DLC content will be a thing of the past. Speaking to Xbox On, Spencer reiterated the message that Xbox has been trying to convey for some time now. Should Activision and the Call of Duty series be brought under the Microsoft umbrella, the experience will be the same regardless of which platform you play the game on. This includes eliminating the principle of content caps and time-limited modes that can only be found on a specific platform. He continued:

“That’s also not the game we’re trying to play here. It’s not about keeping up with the content. It’s not about a specific type of game mode. The same version of the game will be available on all platforms, which is really what we’re doing today.”

Things are getting increasingly difficult now at PlayStation and Sony, after the continued statements from Microsoft and its representatives. Mainly because the federal agency had recently asked Sony to prepare proof and inventory contracts from 2019 to date, as we attached here.

Do you think the deal will close no matter how things develop in the future?
