The producer of the Final Fantasy RPG has told fans to expect a "big announcement" in the near future. Yoshinori Kitase He said through his message to the community on the occasion of the new year that the development of Final Fantasy 7 was done quickly, but there is a new announcement that will be revealed that has nothing to do with this game.

Kitas discussed the development of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, which he described as a fresh departure, indicating that the game's audience is eager to see how these special moments from the game will be reconstructed in this new way. He added:

There's also another major announcement unrelated to FFVII that I can't say anything about yet. Rest assured, we're working hard to ensure 2023 is the most exciting year yet.

Thanks to massive leaks of several unannounced games in 2021 through Nvidia's GeForce Now streaming service, it's believed that two more unannounced Final Fantasy games will be re-released with an enhanced version, Final Fantasy Tactics and Final Fantasy 9.

Kitas' statements came in conjunction with Square Enix's announcement of the release date for the FFV16 game, which will be released exclusively on PlayStation 5 on June 22 (6) of this year, 2023.

From what we saw in the game's latest video, it will be exclusive to Sony's new platforms for a period of six months, with a PC release after that period. Although, as of this writing, there's no word on the Xbox version.

It is worth noting that Square Enix is preparing this month to launch its new game, Forsboken, exclusively on PlayStation 5, as the company has high hopes that the game will achieve new successes.

What are your expectations for the big announcement the game's producer has been waiting for, and what are your hopes for Square Enix's next project?
