PlayStation game Returnal is facing a weak start on PC

It looks like Returnal will join the ranks of PlayStation titles that are suffering from low demand on PC. The roguelike adventure game gained great popularity when it was released on the PlayStation 5 during its launch period, but it looks like that won't be repeated with its release on PC.

Through the SteamDB platform that tracks players and games on the Steam platform, less than 7,000 players have been registered so far.

While this number is very low, it did not surpass the lowest level reached by Sackboy: A Big Adventure, which recorded 610 players at launch alone.

Other PlayStation titles managed to register high numbers on the Steam platform, most notably the game God of War, which registered more than 74,000 players. It was followed by Marvel's Spider-Man, which registered almost 66,000 players. While Horizon Zero Dawn comes in third with 56,000 players. And finally, Days Gone, which has around 28,000 players.

Returnal may be a small title compared to other PlayStation titles like God of War and Spider-Man. But don't forget that the game has won many accolades, including several awards, and has also received critical acclaim with high reviews.

Returnal launched on PC earlier this week and is currently the 165th most played game on Steam in the last 24 hours.

These numbers may not be an accurate measure of sales figures. We remember Uncharted: The Legacy of Thieves Collection, which is a great title, but it has been recording 10,800 players per week right now, which is low compared to the performance of other PlayStation titles, but Sony has confirmed that the game has managed to sell 560,000 copies on PlayStation 5.

It remains to be seen how the game's achievements may look on the computer over time.
