With a number of classic remakes released recently, David Gaider, the lead writer of the first Dragon Age games, approached EA to work on an enhanced version of it. The game was released in 2009 and is still one of the best titles in the series to date.
He was Gaider He is the lead writer and setmaster of Dragon Age: Origins, and has continued his work on the series through two sequels. Now, he is desperate to see his work redesigned and remastered for current-gen devices, as it is currently the hottest project in the industry.
The writer took to his Twitter account, addressing EA, where he stated that improved versions of parts of the series should be released and continued:
If we're in the age of remakes, how about Dragon Age Origins? Its graphics were ahead of their time at the time of release... can you imagine that in the PS5 era?
In response to a few other Twitter users, Gaider downplayed the possibility of working on an enhanced version of the game, saying that he thinks EA will only do it if they think it will sell like a golden brownie. Never understanding the nature of the title or why it sold better than Mass Effect, such was his impression of the company.
Dragon Age was released in 2009 and was one of the best RPGs of its time. It also laid the foundation for future installments in the series. Do you welcome the idea of its return in enhanced versions this generation, as its author intended?
