Nintendo: Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom's price isn't just a "trend"

Following the new gameplay clip, it has been officially confirmed that the cost of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom version is $ 70, and this price is for the regular version. Unfortunately, this price seems to be a new station for Nintendo at first glance, and all future first-party games will have this new price category.. but it seems that the matter is the opposite of what we expect.

In questions sent to Nintendo by Game Informer, the company responded that it is the condition of the product and the type of game that determines its value in the end, because each game that the company deals with is a completely individual case and this does not mean raising the price of all original games to US$$ 70. The company's answer to the question of raising the prices of its games was a simple "no".

The €1.70 price tag for first-party games wouldn't be something exclusive to Nintendo. Sony launched the current generation of home platforms with first-party PS5 games at a cost of €1.70. This price has also been adopted by Electronic Arts, Activision, Ubisoft, and most recently by Microsoft's first-party titles for the Xbox Series X/S. This doesn't mean that Nintendo is ensuring price stability, though, as we could see a slow rise without realizing it.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will finally be released on May 12th on Nintendo Switch. Tell me, dear reader, what you think about the game.
