2K Games has yet to announce NBA 2K24, but there is a leaked gameplay presentation indicating the presence of cross-play in the next game in the famous basketball series.
Due to the game's presence on all current-generation devices, it seems that the application of this feature will be something quite necessary for players, but we do not know if the PC platform will be among the current-generation platforms that will receive this feature.
For the past two years, 2K Games has released PC versions of the series as last-gen versions, and if the company plans to do the same with NBA 2K24, there will be a lot of controversy.
NBA 2K games have always received mixed reviews on Steam due to this issue, treating PCs as older-gen devices and not keeping pace with current-gen platforms, even though high-end PCs can outperform current-gen platforms with minimal effort. But the reason for this is, of course, the developer's failure to adapt to open-source platforms, such as the ease of console development, and this can eventually lead to technical errors if the PC is treated like the PS5 and Xbox Series.
It's possible that 2K Games will reveal NBA 2K24 during the next week, and this expectation stems from the company's timing in revealing its basketball game, which is usually in the second half of July.
