A few days ago, we semi-officially learned that developer Neather Realm is developing the bloody fighting game Mortal Kombat 12, almost 5 years after the release of the last part of it.

The spiritual father of the series, Ed Boon, was causing a lot of rumors and speculations about the game, but stopped doing so after the publisher's director, Warner Bros, surprisingly confirmed the work on the development of Mortal Kombat 12 during its recent financial report, but on the other hand, the rumors continued. And the speculations that spoke about the details of the game and its content came from various sources.

Among these speculations and doubts that have aroused the curiosity of players is the possibility of developing the game in the new generation Unreal Engine 5. Although the developer has not yet made any official comment on the matter, what has raised the most interest is the job announcement that the studio needs a technical artist working on Unreal Engine 4.

This completely contradicts previous rumors that spoke about the intention of the NetherRealms studio to work on the development of the fighting game using the Unreal Engine 5 engine, so why does the developer need an expert in the UE4 engine!

It is worth noting that the current part of the Mortal Kombat 11 series was developed using a modified version of the Unreal Engine 3 engine, despite all the features and strong graphics that appeared in it, so if UE4 is used in the studio's way, we will not expect technically weak graphics as some might imagine.
