The wait for Starfield is long and arduous, and we still have plenty of time to hear new information about it. Things got more complicated when the silence about the game lasted for a long time, especially regarding its release date. But fortunately, that will change soon.
Later this month, Bethesda and Microsoft will host a Developer Direct event to showcase new information about upcoming Xbox titles. Unfortunately, Starfield won't be included in the program's lineup.
But Microsoft soon confirmed that there was another event dedicated to the game in the works, so that all fans of the title could see their game in the best possible light during this show.
We don't know exactly how long this event will last and how long it will take, but with Starfield launching in the first half of 2023, we can expect it won't be long before we start getting more concrete details about the game.
Starfield has twice the development team of Fallout 76, and from what we've seen, it's poised to be one of the most epic games of this generation. Fans have seen enough teasers and screenshots, and now we're all waiting for an exact official date, but at least we know a release schedule for the first half of 2023.
Starfield is in development for Xbox Series X/S and PC.
