Xbox Game Studios and Kojima Productions officially confirmed their partnership on a new game during last year's Xbox and Bethesda Game Show. While specific details have yet to be revealed, the former publishing team visited Microsoft's studios recently.

Aaron Greenberg, vice president of Xbox games marketing at Microsoft, said it was an important meeting of “the engineering, cloud, marketing and production teams coming together to embark on an exciting journey into the future.”
Starting a journey could mean a lot of things. It could indicate that development is still in its early stages, which makes sense given that Koijma Productions is also working on Death Stranding 2 and the leaked game Overdose. Time will tell eventually, so we'll wait and see.
All that's known about this project is that it's primarily a cloud experiment using Microsoft technology, and that it's a game that Hideo Kojima has wanted to make for a long time.
