All indications are that we'll be seeing an official announcement soon for one of Japanese developer Hideo Kojima's long-awaited projects in the coming weeks.

In a recent interview with Japanese developer The Guardian, when asked about his upcoming projects, Kojima replied:

It's more like a new medium.

If this works, it could change things not only in the gaming industry, but also in the film industry!

You can run successful experiments, but there will be a long distance between the experiment and the place where it becomes part of everyday use.

We don't know exactly what he means by the term intermediate, but the developer wants to make it a model that will last for several years and, if it works, it could drastically change the concept of the industry, as there will be huge challenges that will be faced in infrastructure for this type of project!

It's become almost certain that the project in question here is likely the "Overdose" title that was announced during its appearance at the previous Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase, which is being developed by Kojima Productions' Xbox studio, as the developer said it was a game he'd always wanted to make.
