Surprisingly, Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy has received a major update today across all platforms the game is available on. The update has been rolled out to all three games separately, as it has been described as the largest one yet.
According to some users, the Rockstar Launcher on PC has been updated, while Grand Theft Auto III has received a 1.2 million-sized update. 4.23 GBwhile Grand Theft Auto Vice City received an update the size of 8.96 GBAnd finally, the game Grand Theft Auto San Andreas in a 1999-sized update 18.53 GB. That's a total of 31.72 GB for the full package.
These updates are the biggest so far that the trilogy has received since its launch last year, while reactions have begun to arrive from some users as it has been noted that many technical issues that were present in some of the games in the trilogy have been resolved.
Talking about the impact of the update on the trilogy is still early, as we wait for Rockstar to issue a publication explaining the most important improvements and updates that the group has received.
The release of the update may come as a surprise to many, especially since Rockstar admitted that it had fixed most of the issues that existed in the game since its launch and that it was satisfied with that, but the game's community was surprised by the major update that the trilogy received today.
It is worth mentioning that the last update No. 1.03 for the game Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy was released in November last year 2021, which aimed to fix more than 100 technical errors in the game.
The new update targets the trilogy across all platforms via a general update and custom updates for each version of the three games across all platforms.
One of the general issues that have been fixed in the trilogy is the appearance of rain falling inside buildings during movie screenings, the update also adds a cloud layer to San Andreas that can be seen when traveling by plane at high levels.
Game stability has also been improved across all devices and a cinematic camera has been added, a number of spelling errors appearing on in-game models have been fixed.
Many believe that the release of this new update could be a goodwill gesture towards Rockstar's decision to cancel or postpone the release of an improved version for the rest of the games in the series, mainly GTA 4, which was already in development if not for the failures that resulted from Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy.
