Humble Bundle's new campaign aims to raise funds for relief efforts in southern Turkey and northern Syria following the earthquakes that have killed more than 50,000 people and displaced thousands. The bundle includes more than 60 games, including Gotham Knights and XCOM 2. The game costs just $ 30, with proceeds going to charity.
The package has already raised more than $1,450,000 for relief efforts, divided between three organizations: Direct Relief, which is sending emergency supplies to health facilities, International Medical Corps, which is providing medical services to affected communities, and Save the Children, which is helping homeless children.
The total value of the package is over $ 1,000, as the package provides the value of a single game. It's a tempting proposition anyway, because Gotham Knights was released last year for $ 60. For just half the price, you can have a truly complete open-world adventure. Even if the launch is weaker than we initially imagined, it's still a great deal. Ultimately, we don't see the deal entirely to just play, but to support all the brothers in Syria and Turkey so that this crisis can pass quickly.
Incidentally, the LinkedIn page of one of the game's developers, Bryan Theberge of WB Games Montreal, revealed that the studio has begun full production on its next game. The aforementioned developer of the unannounced project serves as lead producer, the same position he held on last year's Gotham Knights game.
