God of War Ragnarok is just a few days away from the release of the next chapter in a series that has split into two adventures. One of the game's developers has revealed some new information about it, which we'll share with you below.

God of War Ragnarok and development team Santa Monica are currently experiencing serious leaks about important story events. But some players who have been able to try the game on PS5 note that it doesn't feel much different from the last-gen version.

Kinetic In-Game Developer Bruno Valázquez He gave a new interview in which he talked about the teams' inability to explore all the capabilities of the PlayStation 5. In general, the reason for this issue and the only obstacle was the PlayStation 4 version. He said the following:

The Santa Monica development team wanted to make the best PS4 game possible, but as a result, they were unable to take full advantage of the PS5 consoles' capabilities.

The studio wanted to take what it did with the original 2018 God of War and expand upon it. In the previous game, players were teased with the nine worlds, but they couldn't visit all of them. That changes in the sequel, as one of the key aspects of the upcoming Ragnarok is that you'll be able to explore all nine worlds.

According to Velazquez, all the design goals the studio had in mind were achieved on the PS4, so the PS5 version is basically an improvement on what is already possible on the PS4 version.

Taking into account the current-gen version’s exclusive features such as 3D audio, haptic feedback, higher frame rates, and better graphics. However, it has been mentioned that the PS4 version is also a visual improvement over the original 2018 release, which is a shocking piece of information from one of the game’s developers.

Sony wants to make the game prepared mainly for the PS4, which has the largest fan base so far, with total sales of more than 120 million, compared to the recently announced PS5 base, which did not exceed only 25 million.

In any case, and despite the statements of this developer, do not let what has been said affect your experience of the game and give it the opportunity it deserves, as the game appeared with great graphics on both platforms according to our experience.

We remind you that God of War Ragnarok will be released on the 9th of this month on the aforementioned platforms, while our review of the game will be available on Thursday evening on the website.
