Gfk has released its final report for UK game sales for 2022. The title God of War Ragnarok ended the year in first place in weekly sales, despite a 29% drop in sales compared to the previous week.
God of War Ragnarok becomes the fourth best-selling game in the UK despite its late-year release in November, indicating that gamers were anticipating this game with bated breath ahead of its release and it was successful.
FIFA 23 topped the list during the holiday week but has since dropped to second place, while Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has dropped from second place last week to fourth, meaning Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has moved up to third place.
Nintendo Switch games have outdone themselves and we've seen them in the top 10 for real. Pokémon Violet and Pokémon Scarlet come in fifth and seventh, while Nintendo Switch Sports sits between the two at sixth and Animal Crossing at eighth. You can check out last week's year-end top 10 below.
