Despite the announcement last spring that support for Ghost Recon Breakpoint was ending, Ubisoft has yet to completely abandon the current Ghost Recon title, which has now officially arrived on next-gen.
Through a tweet on the official Twitter account, the French company confirmed that the free upgrade for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S platform Ghost Recon Breakpoint Available to all players who have already purchased the game. While the curtain also reveals all the details related to the technical improvements that have been added in the new version.

Two different graphics modes are available on the Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X/S with performance mode at 1080p and 60fps and high-resolution mode at 4K and 30fps. Finally, the Xbox Series S will run at 1440p and 30fps.
Other than that, the content is the same as what has already been seen on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. With support for the game confirmed to end in early 2022, it is unlikely that new content designed specifically for the next generation will be created. Either way, from this point on, you can enjoy Ghost Recon Breakpoint at its best.
There's still uncertainty over the future of the series, as a report from Kotaku speculated that a new Ghost Recon game would be released in 2023, but at the moment Ubisoft hasn't revealed any plans to continue the series in the near or distant future.
