Microsoft's $1.4 billion acquisition of publisher Activision Blizzard is still under investigation by the UK's Competition and Markets Authority (CMA). The latter has refused to accept Microsoft's argument for the acquisition.

The company is also facing the dilemma of the Federal Trade Commission's (FTC) decision to file a lawsuit against Microsoft, as it said it is trying to block the $68.7 billion deal because it is confident it will crowd out competitors in favor of its Xbox platform and its monthly Game Pass service, along with its cloud gaming service. The latter responded that it is ready to present its case in court and fight for it.

With all these problems and obstacles in the way of completing the deal, Microsoft is currently facing new legal action from 10 gamers in order to prevent its merger with the developer of the famous Call of Duty shooter series, the publishing giant Activision Blizzard. Where it has been reported that these gamers also feel the harm that this deal generates a kind of prejudice in favor of one company at the expense of the competition, as reported by the BBC.

In any case, Microsoft is reported to have offered Sony a full 10-year deal last month to ensure the survival of new and future Call of Duty games on its platforms, but Sony has yet to accept the offer. However, a similar deal was struck with Nintendo and Valve, which they quickly agreed to.
