Playground Games' Forza Horizon 5 is getting a very important new PC update on November 8, which adds support for Nvidia's incredible DLSS Super Resolution feature.

Additionally, there will be AMD's Fidelity FX Super Resolution 2 feature. Ray tracing will also be added with Ultra and Extreme high settings.

FidelityFX Super Resolution 2 can deliver a 4K rendered image upscaled from 1080 resolution and is available in performance mode for AMD, Nvidia, and Intel cards. But DLSS Super Resolution is exclusive to Nvidia RTX cards and does the same job but also improves frame rates and higher resolutions at the same time. The original resolution image is also given a more device-friendly quality to deliver good performance in the end.

As for ray tracing, Extreme mode will do best when it comes to this feature, with fully accurate light reflections in ForzaVista and Free + Races modes. Photo mode will also offer full-resolution reflections, but it also throws some AI into those shots to bring them to life. The game is available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. For more details, check out some of the most important settings this way. The developer also confirmed that a second add-on for the game is in development with more details to be released in early 2023.
