The Fortnite 23.40 update is now available for everyone on all platforms, bringing with it many new weapons and challenges associated with various and different rewards.

The Cold-Blooded Federation has taken control of the island and confiscated new alien weapons from heavily guarded vaults. You can pull off the ultimate heist, claim all these weapons for yourself, and build an infamous team during Fortnite's Wanted for Justice.

To earn in-game rewards, complete Justice Missions as one of the most wanted on the island to increase your Willpower. Wanted mode will continue in Fortnite until February 28, 2023.

Fortnite Update 23.40: New Exotic Weapons

The Coldbloods have stored away some big guns, but their locations aren't a secret. Loot them from Coldblooded Lockers, which can be accessed using Locker Access Cards that drop from Coldblooded bosses when you defeat them. Defeating these bosses won't eliminate your enemies, but there will still be Coldbloods guarding the tanks.

After eliminating the cold-bloods in your path, prepare the exotic weapons for extraction:

  • Stolen super shotgun.
  • Stolen explosive assault rifle.
  • Stolen Accelerator Rifle.
  • Stolen speed gun.
  • An LMG with a stolen Blink magazine.

Back for theft

Back in Battle Royale during Fortnite's Wanted, make a move to get the returning weapons.

  • Artillery weapon.
  • Pair of pistols.
  • Heavy sniper rifle.
  • Pair of skipping stones.
  • Silenced pistol.
  • Explosive precision rifle.

A speedboat, bows, and bow-related reality augmentations will be removed from Battle Royale, a non-building mode during Wanted in Fortnite.

Riots have escalated in the world of Fortnite

Did you think you could commit crimes without gaining notoriety? In Fortnite's Wanted, opening safes and eliminating opponents increases your Riot level in a match, which you can track by the torch icon on the screen and when you have any amount of Riot. Cold-blooded members will become more aggressive and visible to other players on the minimap and more visible to other players in the environment.

Being notorious isn't necessarily a bad thing, so it's worth increasing your hooliganism level, as each level of hooliganism comes with some perks:

  • Eliminated opponents drop more gold bars.
  • Your movement speed increases by 15% and health will be recharged to 100 outside of battle.
  • Your movement speed increases by 20% and health will be recharged to 100 and shield to 50 outside of battle.
  • Your movement speed increases by 25% and health will be recharged to 100 and shield to 100 outside of battle.

Crime has implications

Any team can pull off a great heist, but few become notorious. Completing Wanted missions will increase your Brawler level, which will unlock in-game rewards like the Coin Cache Back Bling, Vault Keeper Pickaxe, and Expert Blood Gold Outfit. Track your Brawler level and remaining rewards by clicking the Cold Blooded logo in the lobby. Wanted rewards can be obtained in Fortnite Update 23.40 without purchase.

Wanted missions are divided into five groups that become available through progression: "Information and Reconnaissance Missions", "Noise-Making Missions", "Infiltration Missions", "Security Escape Missions", and "Clear Escape Missions".

Collect all 5 Cold-Blooded Medals to unlock the Gold Skull Back Bling. Upgrade this Back Bling after unlocking it by completing the Golden Skull missions. These missions are available until the end of Chapter 4, Season 1, and will have you racking up eliminations left and right.
