We knew Nintendo didn't have a schedule for its events, but the company has a pattern throughout each year that's highly anticipated. We expect to see the company again at a new event in 2023, specifically in September.
This information came according to the journalist known for his leaks with Nintendo.Jeff GroupIn the latest episode of the Nintendogs podcast, he stated:JeffThrough it, we will have a Nintendo Direct event during the month of September, according to which it will happen almost at the same time as the Nintendo Live event in “Seattle”, which we are scheduled to see on September 1st or 4th.
Even though the Nintendo Switch is in its seventh year, the Japanese company likely has a lot in store for the platform, and will likely showcase it in September during the next Direct episode, if that happens. Super Mario Bros. is set to launch in October, with a Super Mario RPG Remake the following month, while Nintendo also has Princess Peach and Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon remasters slated for release in 2024.
allegedJeffAdditionally, Metroid Prime 2: Echoes Remastered and a new Zelda expansion are coming soon, so there's a chance we'll hear something official about them at the Direct event as well. Overall, though, we don't think we'll hear anything about the Switch 2 platform, so don't get your hopes up about the rumored event unless the company wants to build momentum around it again.
